Monochromatic Masculine Card

Greetings Crafty Friends! Masculine Cards are difficult for me! Today I am presenting a Monochromatic Masculine card for CutCardStock with a step by step photo outline.

This Unity Stamps set was perfect for a masculine card! The very first step is to stamp the car image and the sentiment on White Cougar 80- lb cardstock and fussy cut the car. Add two additional layers of white cardstock for strength and support by gluing White Cougar scraps under the stamped image and trimming.

The background uses a Hero Arts plank stamp, stamped in 2 directions with Stormy Sky Distress ink on Light Blue Basis Cardstock.

The frame and the background are Blue Basis Cardstock. The Hero Arts rounded Rectangle die was perfect for creating the layered blue frame. Three layers of the frame are attached to provide the extra dimension.

Putting It all together

Finally, the card is ready to assemble! Start with a white Cougar A 2 card base, followed by Blue Basis Cardstock, trimmed to 5.5 x 4.25 inched. Add the stamped plank piece trimmed to 4 x 5.25 allowing a 1/8 inch frame. Layer the frame with additional frames for dimension and attach off center to the base. Create depth on the car by adding additional layers of cardstock. The last step is to trim and add the sentiment strip!

The last step for this monochromatic masculine card was to stamp part of the car on the Light Blue Basis Envelope.

My other post this month was another masculine card featuring colorblocking and heat embossing. Check that post out here.
