Hello Friends! It’s Teri here posting for CutCardStock! I am so very grateful to be continuing on their Design Team for 2021. I LOVE Curious Metallic Cardstock; it just has the perfect shine, and you can add dimension with markers! Today I’m going to show you how a color change with Copic markers can help you stretch your stamps.

Check out this sweet sending Hugs card that may be used for many occasions. Curious Metallic Cardstock is everywhere!

Putting It Together

There are so many great colors to use such as Pink Quartz Curious Metallic. After stamping the flowers and leaves from HeroArts Stamp and Cut Daisy and Bug set on Pink Quartz Cardstock, I set off to add more color. Who knew you could change a Daisy into a Gerbera Daisy so easily?

Sizzix’s Intertwine Embossing folder created the dimension on the lower section. Next, a swipe of Archival Watering Can Ink added to the interest. Then, I cut it at an angle and applied it over a solid piece of Virtual Pearl Cardstock on an A2 base. I wanted the entire card to shine! Too bad the photos can’t pick it up.

The next step was to arrange the flowers along the angled line. Some foam tape popped up the center flower. The Hugs is from Altenew’s Hugs and Hello Stamp and Die Set. I cut it three times with the Pink Quartz and layered it, followed by coloring with a darker Copic marker. Finally, I added the sentiment strip from Taylored Expressions. Do you do that?
