Inky Background: Thought Of You Today Card

Hi Everyone! Today I am playing with Classic Crest Natural White 110 pound cardstock. I cut one sheet in half to 5-1/2 by 8-1/2 inches and then scored and folded at 4-1/4 inches to create the card base. I created an inky background using Catherine Pooler inks in Pucker Up, Be Mine, Tiara, and Tiki Torch. Then, I used my Taylored Expressions Blender Brushes and created an easily blended background, as you can see here.

Next, I used a die-cut cover plate from Catherine Pooler called Gardens Edge and a stamp and die set called Happy Butterflies (also from Catherine Pooler.) I stamped then die-cut from the ink blended paper that I created. Next, I used my Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the black stamping, then used my Sizzix Big Shot to die cut my pieces.

After that, I stamped my sentiment directly on my card base and then used my Xyron to add adhesive to the back of my elements. Below you can see how this all comes together.

I really love how the inky background and this card turned out! I do hope you like this project and as always, I can’t wait to see what you create!
