Hello, CutCardStock fans! Leslie here, and thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! Who doesn’t need congratulations cards in their stash? While I was putting this colorful floral design together, I was thinking ‘wedding congrats.’ Then I decided after it was complete that it could be used for just about any occasion calling for congratulations. This quilt block card features beautiful Pop-Tone cardstock along with Classic Crest, which is a staple in my studio!

I cut a standard size A2 top fold card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock, along with four small squares for stamping, a strip for stamping the front sentiment, and an inside panel from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock.

I cut slightly larger squares from Pop-Tone Grape Jelly cardstock, Pop-Tone Orange Fizz cardstock, Pop-Tone Razzleberry cardstock, and Pop-Tone Wild Cherry cardstock to use as the base layers of the quilt blocks.

I also cut a panel from Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock to cover the front of the card base and another panel to layer beneath the inside panel.

I adhered the black panel to the front of the card base, stamped the flowers and layered them on the matching Pop-Tone panels to create the quilt blocks, and then stamped the sentiment strip and layered it on black.

I embellished the inside panel with pieces of the four Pop-Tone colors, stamped the sentiment in black and layered that panel on black.

I adhered the four quilt blocks and sentiment strip to the front of the card. I dotted the inside of each flower with a Clear Stardust shimmer pen and then added tiny iridescent gemstones to the center of each flower for a little extra shimmer.

The final step was adhering the inside panel to the inside of the card base.
