What is better than coffee and crafting?! A handmade purple and teal coffee card!

The Cougar Super Smooth 80# cardstock is a DREAM for all kinds of techniques! Today, I used it for ink blending and embossing. I started with embossing this stamp in silver – this stamp embosses patterns onto areas that are going to become coffee mugs!

I always treat my cardstock with anti static powder prior to stamping the image I am going to emboss to cut down on static and powder sticking in places where I don’t want it.

Now, it is time for ink blending! I love how smooth inking is on this cardstock. I used my favorite color combination for these stencil layers – purple and teal!

I used a stitched rectangle die to cut out the panel and dies to cut out a few coffee cups. I used a small enough rectangle, that it left a row of mugs to die cut and use on their own.

Our sentiment is next – I wasn’t sure if I wanted a white embossed sentiment or a purple stamped sentiment. I ended up choosing the purple stamped image. The Stardust metallic cardstock is great for embossing or stamping with ink. I love this metallic cardstock, and it dries quickly too! No smearing. I used Stardust Lagoon cardstock for the sentiment.

I added the cut out coffee mugs onto a scalloped circle cut from the Stardust Amethyst cardstock – and popped everything up with foam tape. Our card is done!
