Foiled Heart Ticket Card

Can you believe it’s almost Valentine’s Day? It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating Christmas and New Year’s! If you’re looking for a unique way to decorate a card filled with love, check this one out!

Supplies Needed:

To begin, I opened my Silhouette Studio software and imported this card base from Lori Whitlock. I wanted to have the front of the card to be shiny and full of hearts, so I filled the outside piece with a heart design. Next, I cut out the card base out of red cardstock and then printed my heart front with my laser printer (this is necessary if you want to foil it.)

To foil laser printed designs, place your design into a plastic protective folder with a sheet of heat reactive foil on top. Then place it through a laminator. (I used my Minc foiling machine.)

After it runs through the laminator, peel the foil back to reveal your amazing foiled design!

Next, I added some glue to the tab piece and adhered it to the card front.

Then I added some foam adhesive squares to the back of the card front. I love dimension!

Line up the holes and place the card front onto the base.

And now you’re all done! You can make so many wonderful, simple cards and add a little foil to make it really pop!

The Astrobright cardstock would work great for this project, and lucky for you it’s on sale this month!
