3-D Embossed Floral Thank You Cards
You know what today calls for? Flowers! And more flowers! Toni here with you today starting Spring off with a colorful bang.

Experimenting with Card Bases
I’d heard good things about the Cougar White 110# Cover A2 Folded Cards. The reports were so very true! After trying them for myself, I am a total convert. Indeed, they are amazing: sturdy, a great shade of white, AND they 3-D emboss beautifully.
Given the price of postage these days, I look to minimize the thickness of my cards so they can be sent with a single stamp. Therefore, you can imagine how excited I was then to find I could emboss the card base itself without having to add a card front layer.

I further experimented by embossing–and debossing/impressing in one case–a few of the card bases in different patterns to see if there was a difference in the brand of folder or plate used; honestly, they all performed well. Thus, the possibilities are endless!
Creating the Blossoms
Once the bases were done, I focused on the blossoms. The brighter the better in my book so I used the below colors:
- Pop Tone Banana Split cardstock
- Pop Tone Lemon Drop cardstock
- Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock
- Pop Tone Bubble Gum cardstock
- Pop Tone Sour Apple cardstock
- Pop Tone Gumdrop Green cardstock
- Pop Tone Pink Lemonade cardstock
- Pop Tone Razzleberry cardstock
One of the things I particularly love about Pop Tone cardstocks are the colorways available. Swoon! By the way, you can order a Pop-Tone Sample Swatch Book of all the colors to check them out before investing in larger quantities of your favorite colors.

The Sentiment
To serve as grounding for the blossoms in addition to hiding the bottom of the stems, I chose a blocky script word die with an outline as the sentiment.
Since I was experimenting already, I thought I would try sponging on the Pop Tone Sno Cone cardstock with Distress Oxide Salvaged Patina to create an ombre effect. Wow! How gorgeous did that turn out?

I hope your Spring is off to a great start. Have a wonderful rest of your week and thanks for stopping by!
