How to create an awesome but simple cozy Christmas card!

Hello, CutCardStock fans! Leslie here, and thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! Are you enjoying the nice Fall weather where you are? I love everything about Fall… the sights, the sounds and the wonderful smells, and even though it’s my favorite time of the year, I’m in serious Christmas mode right now! The card I’m sharing with you today features more of the Bonsai Green and Habanero Red cardstock that’s on sale this month, along with Classic Crest Solar White cardstock! Can’t go wrong with these traditional Christmas colors!

*Cut a standard A2 size top-folding card base from Classic Crest Solar White 110# cardstock, along with two layering panels (one for front and one for inside) and several 1/4″-ish strips from Classic Crest Solar White 80# cardstock. I didn’t measure the strips – I think it’s more fun to have slight variations in the width.
*Cut one layering panel and several 1/4″-ish strips from Bonsai Green cardstock, along with one layering panel and several 1/4″-ish strips from Habanero Red cardstock. Again, I didn’t measure the width of the strips.
*Round the bottom right corner of card base and all the layering panels.
*Die cut three stockings from the Classic Crest Solar White cardstock, Bonsai Green cardstock and Habanero Red cardstock.

If you are a regular reader of my posts here on the blog, you know that I occasionally change my other mind mid-way into my design, lol! That said, you’ll notice the spool of silver metallic thread and small jingle bells in the photo below which I ended up not using. I used flat-back pearls to embellish the stockings instead which you’ll see further down. 😉

*Adhere the white, green and red strips diagonally across the front white layering panel (using as many or as few as you wish and the colors in whatever order you wish), trim the sides, and adhere the panel to the red layering panel.
*Stamp the sentiment in red ink.
*Adhere the layered panel to the front of the card base, then add the stockings on dimensional foam squares.
*Add the flat-back pearls to the stockings and add a few in the upper left corner.

*Adhere leftover red, white and/or green strips down the left side of the inside white panel.
*Stamp the sentiment in red ink.
*Adhere the panel to the green layering panel, and adhere to the inside of the card base. And, that’s a wrap! 😉
