How to Use Cardstock and Punches on Your Layouts

Toddler cardstock layout featuring punches

To start this layout I used a 12 x 12 sheet of black cardstock, then an 11 1/2 x 11 1/2 sheet of white cardstock. Next I took a sheet of 9 1/2 x 11 Crest Ivory Cardstock placed it on the bottom side of my layout. Above it I added 4 Crest Ivory Cardstock squares to the top of the layout approximately 2 1/2 inches each.

Layout with squares and ivory bottom added.

To add some color to my layout I chose this gorgeous Wild Cherry Cardstock from CutCardstock Online Store. They have a large assortment of beautiful colors of cardstock, along with all of your invitations, and printing needs.

As you can see the cardstock layout begins to pop once the red sections are added. The photo mat and the white flowers were made using Basis White Cardstock as well. This white cardstock is heavyweight so make sure your punch is sharp and doesn’t have a lot of small details. A small circle punch was used to make the center of the flowers.

Photo mats, and flowers were added

This is the Basis White Cardstock that was used on the flower punch, and photo mat.

To finish off the layout i added washi tape, small flags, my granddaughter’s name, brads and my photos. Also added were smaller flowers to the bottom flags below each photo.
