A2 Card Gift Box Style 2

Hello, hello! Samantha here with my second style of A2 sized card gift box. This one features a classy and chic acetate lid. Perhaps the best part of all is that this box is entirely handmade; no dies and no fancy machines necessary.

Let’s get started! You will need the following:

First we will make our base. To do this take your black cardstock and score it at 1.5″ on all four sides. Miter your flaps as shown below.

I prefer to adhere my patterned paper at this point and then assemble. Place Score-Tape on your flaps.

For the acetate you will do exactly the same thing as you did on the base however you will trim about 1/8″ off of the 8″ side and about 1/8″ off of the 6.75″ side. Score all four sides at 1″.

Apply adhesive to the flaps. I opted to use red line tape as it’s nearly invisible when used on acetate. Miter the flaps as shown.

Place the middle of a length of ribbon into the center of the box.

Fill with cards and put the lid on.

I was able to fit 15 cards and envelopes into this box.

Bring your ribbon up and tie into a bow. This makes getting the acetate out of the gift box a tad bit easier.

That’s it. Easy enough, right?

I hope that this will inspire you to create your own gift box. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to leave them in the comments.
