Watercolor Galaxy Background
Greetings friends! Its Teri with Teris Mailbox and I am presenting today for CutCardstock. Check out the amazing card with a gorgeous watercolor galaxy background created using Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock!

Check out all those amazing rich colors! It all started with the Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock with works out great for loose watercolor galaxy backgrounds. Check out the deep rich colors I used. A few splatters of white gesso adds to the galactic scene.
I have a short video here demonstrating the process:
Once the watercoloring was complete, I set off to die cut the image and the frame. Pop-tone Black Licorice provides a perfect dark black image and frame to really make the background pop! I die cut the central image using a Spellbinder’s die. The oval was also cut with the Black Cardstock to provide a frame for the background and the image! Since I watercolored a larger piece of paper, it allowed the opportunty to select the best view.

Putting it all together
Trim both the black oval frame and the watercolor pieces to 4 x 5.25 inches and mount on a white A2 card base using Cougar 80 lb White Cardstock. Center the fairy and glue onto the galaxy.
The card needed some additional bling, so I added many small silver stars from my stash. I hope you enjoyed seeing the card and my process. I challenge you to make some galaxy backgrounds!
