I stamped the flower onto a 4.25 x 5.5 panel in Gold EP.
Then I flipped the panel over and used a stylus to make a random “polka dot” design.
I kind of estimated where the flower was. It’s a simple image, so it wasn’t hard.
Then I started working on coloring my image.
I chose to use these as they color on dark paper nicely.
See here where I swatched them.
Once the image was colored, it looked too flat and blah. I used MFT inside/out stitched rectangle dies (which made my panel a bit smaller) then I used my Versamark pen along the edges and added gold embossing powder.
Once that was done, I die cut my letters.
I used the same exact cardstock. I die cut it 4 times. The top layer I used Versamark pen on the edges to create a gold border.
Tip – KEEP THE LETTERS IN THE NEGATIVE PIECE WHILE GLUING.
It makes stacking much easier. Just don’t overdo the glue. It’ll ooze out onto your negative piece and glue it together. You just want the negative part to maintain the shape.
I used Versamark to create that “gold dipped” look for the bottoms of the letters.
After the letters were finished, I glued them to the panel.
Once that was done, I glued the panel to 4.25×5.5 matching card base. To finish off the card, I added Gold Nuvo drops. Then, I let it dry. After about an hour I decided to add Glossy Accents to the letters and the flower.
This DARKENED the letters (which happens).
This picture above is before the Glossy Accents. The lower one shows how the Glossy Accents looks when dried.
Have a great day! I hope this has inspired you to try dark cardstock and “gold dippin.” It’s easy, fun and gives a classy look.
