I am back today with a card I made for a dear friend of mine who’s favorite color combo is black and gold.
For today’s project, I used beautiful black Curious Metallics cardstock in Night.
To start, I die cut a panel and a frame, then choose a floral image and sentiment by Technique Tuesday and heat embossed both to the panel.
I die cut a Friend sentiment and heat embossed it with several layers of embossing powder to create more dimension.
I added some shading with gold and tan colored pencils to my flowers.
Below is a close up of the image and shading.
To assemble the card, I added craft foam to the embossed panel.
I adhered the frame directly to the card base, adhered the center panel using liquid glue, then added Friend sentiment.
To finish the card, I added a few gold gems for some shine.
