Holiday Countdown Series – Day 4
Today we are joined by CCS Design Team Alumni Lee Ann. She is sharing her darling advent calendar project.
The boxes were made with Basis 12 x 12 cardstock, cut into 6″ x 6″ squares. The cardstock was the perfect weight for holding a good shape, but atill easy to work with and has just a bit of texture. I used my We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board to make the 24 boxes. Some of the boxes were stamped with Delicata Gold Ink with a Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps Music Background stamp; I did not try to be perfect with this as I wanted a rustic look. Numbers were die cut with Vintage Numbers from Top Dog Die using Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock. I wrapped twine around each, and hung the boxes from a branch I found in my backyard and painted. I kept the rustic look going with some evergreen branches and a burlap bow.
