Optional, Distress Ink in any color of your choice
From the glitter cardstock cut three strips; 8.5″ x 1″, 3.5″ x 1″, and 8.5″ x .25″.
Take your 8.5″ x 1″ strip and punch it at 4.25″.
Flip the cardstock over and repeat.
Punch the strip at 2.5″, turn over and punch again. Repeat on the other end.
You should end up with something that looks like this.
Next, take one of the ends and line them up in the center of the silver part of the punch. Then punch!
Turn over and punch again. Repeat on the other end.
You should then have something like this.
Optional but I think it looks great, use a Distress Ink in your favorite color (I’m using Peacock Feathers) to ink the edges of the strip. I did this to all of the strips of cardstock.
Curl slightly with a pencil or other tool.
Use your hot glue gun to place a small dot of glue between the two edge sections, fold the last edge over to line up with the center. Repeat on the other end.
You should have something like this. Place a dot of glue at the center of the strip and fold both ends in to meet.
That is your bow. But what is a bow without tails?
Take your 3.5″ x 1″ strip and line it up at 1.75″. Punch, flip, and repeat.
You will then have this.
Line one of the ends up like this and punch.
Then repeat on the other end.
There is your tail.
With a small dot of glue from your hot glue gun attach the tail to the back of the bow.
Take your 8.5″ x .25″ and glue one end to the front of the bow. Loop your paperclip onto the strip.
Flip your bow over and, with a generous dollop of glue, attach your paper clip to the back of the bow.
Continue to wrap the strip around the center of the bow, securing with glue at each rotation, until you have about one inch left.
Snip and secure at the back.
That’s it! Be sure to tag CutCardStock when you recreate this so that we can see your awesome work.
