Hello! It’s Melanie here today sharing this Oversized Letters Home Decor project and Peony flower using Linen card stock, Stardream Metallic card stock and Chipboard (0.5 thickness). I created these letters in Cricut Design Space using the Cricut Explore to deep cut the chipboard layers. The font used is Cricut Alphabet and the size of each letter is 8 x 11 inches so it works well with paper that is 8.5 x 11 inches. I cut 2 layers of Chipboard (0.05 thickness) and 1 layer of Linen Card Stock. The flower is a 3-D Peony using Stardream card stock colors from the sample pack.
Once the letters were cut, I adhered the layers together to create a 3-D image.
Then I assembled the letters to form the word HOME.
The Peony added some flare to this project. I love making diecut flowers and the Stardream Metallic card stock has the perfect shine after curling the paper.
I lightly sprayed my flower diecuts with water (makes it easier to manipulate) and then curled thepaper to form a flower. The diecuts have tabs so you know exactly where to glue the petals.
I adhered the flower to the “O” and hung on the wall next and also placed on the fireplace.
This would also look great on a gallery wall!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project! Be sure to pick up the items from the CutCardStock.com store to make one for your home decor!
