One of my crafty girlfriends, who also happens to be a fabulous cook, is hosting a Valentine’s Tea in a couple weeks. I wanted to make her a little hostess gift, but didn’t have a lot of time this weekend. So, I made a half dozen cute little thank you notes with my Paper Made Bakery Fresh Baked Kit and some Brown Bag A1 envelopes.
Now, A1 (or 4 Bar) cards are not my typical card size, but I really like these! An A1 card is 3-1/2″ x 4-7/8″. I used the sparkly Curious Metallic card stock in Cryogen White for my card base. Here are my supplies…card stock, envelopes, patterned paper and my Big Shot for the Spellbinders die cutting.

I love the simple, no-frills feel to the Brown Bag envelopes and they go great with the Blissful patterned paper from Authentique Paper, which is just a small part of the January Fresh Baked Kit from Paper Made Bakery. I used one of two little Thank You stamps recently given as a customer appreciation gift from Papertrey Ink for the pretty tag.

The tag is cut from one of Spellbinders’ Fancy Tags 2 set. The card front is as simple as can be — just a 3-1/4″ x 4-5/8″ piece of patterned paper adhered to the front of the Curious Metallic Cryogen White card stock. I inked the edge of the patterned paper I used to stamp the Thank You sentiment onto, as well as the scrolled edges of the Fancy Tags. And that’s pretty much it!
Use your scraps to whip up a batch of these A1 cards with some coordinating Brown Bag envelopes today. Having a handmade gift at the ready is always a good idea!
