Create a Dream-Themed Scrapbook Layout with Glitter Cardstock Stars

There’s something magical about a layout that captures the sweet innocence of a child dreaming, and adding a little sparkle makes it even more special! Hi it’s Kristin Lippelman here and I’m sharing a dream-themed scrapbook layout with plenty of dreamy stars created using CutCardStock glitter cardstock!

Cardstock:

• Purple Glitter Cardstock
• Pink Glitter Cardstock
• Aqua Glitter Cardstock

Additional Supplies:

• Electronic Die Cutting Machine
• Starry Sky Pattern Paper and Dream-themed Cardstock Stickers (I used Reminisce “Pajama Party Kit”)
• Adhesive/Glue
• Craft Foam

Creating the Glitter Cardstock Stars

First, I chose a cut file on Cricut Design Space with varying sizes of stars. Next, I used my electronic die cutting machine to cut the stars out in the Purple Glitter Cardstock, Pink Glitter CardStock, and Aqua Glitter Cardstock. I cut the die cut pattern out four times on each of the cardstocks.

Then, I arranged the stars in a circular pattern on the Starry Sky Pattern Paper. I varied the colors and sizes of the stars around the circle so that it created a well-balanced appearance. I used wet glue to adhere the stars to the pattern paper.

Adding the Final Touches

I decided to document a couple of photographs of my daughter taking an afternoon nap. I chose to print one of the photographs in black and white because they were very similar appearing photographs and this also helps add additional interest to the photographs and draws your eye back to them.

Finally, I chose cardstock stickers from the pattern paper kit that worked well with the theme of the photographs and worked well with the glitter stars. I placed the stickers around the photographs to draw attention, popping some of them up on craft foam to give them more dimension.
