Letterpress the Base with Savoy Cardstock

Start with an A2 size piece of Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock. Use the Spellbinders Betterpress system to add the image using Grey Archival Ink. I chose grey ink as it creates a much softer image. The plate is from Hero Arts called Lotus Field. The grey becomes lighter as it dries.

Stencil the Blooms and Leaves

Use the coordinating stencil to add color to the blooms and leaves. I chose to add streams of colors starting with light yellow progressing through pinks and onto turquoise. I love the rainbow look!

Stencils have become my new favorite way to add color. The Savoy Cardstock holds onto the color very well!

Add the Sentiment

Use a sentiment with a shadow die to create this fun look on your card! I used hugs die by @altenew. Center the shadow die on the bottom third of the card and die cut. You can cut the sentiment die at the same time. Make it easy by using a low tack tape to hold in place while cutting. Die cut a second sentiment using Cougar 110 lb. White Cardstock to make the sentiment pop. Glue the sentiments together.

Assemble the Card

To make the die cut sentiment pop, select a bright coordinating color for the next panel. I used Pop Tone Blue Raspberry trimmed to 4.0 x 5.25 inches. Center the bloom panel and attach with a tape runner or liquid glue.

DSC Shadow Gray Cardstock added an additional layer of color that played off the gray inked image! Use an A2 size panel, center the bloom panel on top and attach to a card base made with 110 lb. Cougar White Cardstock (my favorite).
