Geometric Congratulations Card
Hey everybody, a big ol’ happy Friday to you! Are you a fan of geometric designs on your cards? I haven’t always been but I’m liking the geometric vibe more and more lately. Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a geometric congratulations card. Super simple design that could easily be mass-produced to make multiples for your stash. My color choices were Surf, Caribbean Blue and Hummingbird for the diamond embellishment. Also used a pre-folded 110# Solar White card base along with Glama Natural Translucent vellum for the front sentiment. Of course, 80# Solar White cardstock is my go-to for the front and inside panels. So let’s get started!

Card Base & Layers
Firstly, grab a pre-folded 110# Solar White card base – these are huge time-savers and come in an 80# weight also!
Secondly, cut front and inside panels from 80# Solar White cardstock.
Thirdly, cut an inside layering panel from Hummingbird.
Lastly, punch squares in graduating sizes to layer together for the diamond embellishment:
3/4″ from patterned paper
1″ from Surf
1-1/4″ from Caribbean Blue
1-1/2″ from Hummingbird

Create Geometric Design & Embellishment
Start by dry embossing the front panel with a stripe embossing folder.
Next, apply diamond glitter to several 3D foam strips and place them randomly in the recessed grooves on the front panel. Cut some into smaller pieces and stagger them for a more random look.
Additionally, adhere the four punched squares together and affix an enamel dot at the top.

Adhere Layers for Geometric Congratulations Card
Glue the embossed front panel to the front of the card base. Affix the diamond embellishment in the lower right corner with foam squares. The front panel for this geometric congratulations card is looking good!
Now adhere the inside sentiment panel to the teal panel. Punch a couple extra squares to embellish the bottom of the sentiment panel.

Add Sentiments
Using the rock-and-roll stamping technique, stamp the front sentiment on Glama Natural Translucent vellum. While the ink is still wet, apply clear embossing powder and heat emboss. Fussy cut the sentiment and add it to the top of the card on small pieces of foam strip.
Note: The rock-and-roll stamping technique is achieved by stamping the whole sentiment in a lighter ink. Partially ink the stamp again with slightly darker ink by rocking the top edge of the stamp upward, lifting up, and rolling the bottom edge downward.
Stamp a sentiment on the inside panel and outline with a light colored alcohol marker for a little interest.

Complete Geometric Congratulations Card
All that’s left to do is add a few tiny iridescent gemstones to the card front. Finally, adhere the sentiment panel to the inside of the card base.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
