Mermaid Mini Album
Hello everyone! It’s Kristin with my very first project for CutCardStock! I love the glitter paper that CutCardStock offers, and I wanted to design an entire project around that beautiful paper. My daughter loves all things mermaid (and pink!) and I thought a Mermaid Mini Album would be the perfect project!

- Echo Park “Imagine That-Girl” collection
- Scrap Diva Designs mermaid mini album die set
- Scrap Diva Designs mermaid bow die set

Creating the Mermaid Mini Album Covers
To create the front and back covers, first I cut out the cardstock as pictured below. Secondly, I layered and glued the scalloped pieces to the tail and lastly trimmed the excess off to create a scale-like appearance. I die cut additional mermaid tails and adhered them to the backside of each of the covers.

To create the bows, I cut them (as pictured), assembled them together and glued them above the mermaid scales.

Creating Additional Mermaid Mini Album Pages
Additionally, I die cut out more papers in my stash along with the Pink Glitter, Purple Glitter and Aqua Glitter cardstock, to create pages for the album. I then added embellishments and stickers to the pages as well my photographs. Another way I created more interest, was to include fun interactive elements, like a shaker pocket and flip flaps with photos hidden underneath!

Putting the Pages Together
Finally, to put the pages together, I punched a hole in the top left portions of the pages and secured them together with a 2-inch binder ring. I added an additional bead embellishment to the front cover by clipping it onto the binder ring in the front. Another way I added interest to the album was including additional labels and tags onto the binder ring between the mermaid tail pages.

In conclusion, this album was so much fun to put together and my daughter absolutely loves it! I really hope I’ve inspired you to make your own version of this mini album! Be sure to check out these beautiful glitter papers on CutCardStock and have a mer-mazing day! Thanks for splashing by!
