Quick and Easy Warmest Thanks
Hello CutCardStock friends! It’s that time of year when I always need an extra card or two to say “thanks”. Birgit here with you today with a quick and easy “Warmest Thanks” card that can be easily mass produced.

The Supplies:

Today’s project uses: 80# DCS Dolphin Gray, 80# DCS Patriot Blue, 83# Lessebo Arctic Blue, 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, 65# Pop-Tone Hot Fudge as well as dies and an embossing folder from my stash.
Die Cutting:

To begin with, I die cut all the element out of the appropriate colored cardstock. The mug is cut out of Lessebo Arctic Blue and the Hemstitch Oval is cut out of DCS Patriot Blue, while the rest of the mug contents are cut out of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

I blended some Distress Oxide Ink onto the edges of the mug to add a bit of depth.

To continue, I also added color to the whipped cream, marshmallows and the snowflake.

I then glued the cocoa cup together using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. The dripping hot cocoa is cut from Pop-Tone Hot Fudge. As you can see in the photo, I added some white gel pen accents.
Creating the Background:

To make the background panel, I simply ran a panel of DCS Dolphin Gray through the die cutting machine using a warm, cable knit embossing folder. This adds to the warm and cozy theme of this card.

Once the background and cup were completed, I glued the background to the front of my A2 sized card panel and added the Patriot Blue oval over the top. I then mounted the cocoa cup onto the oval using foam mounting tape to add a bit of dimension.
The Finished Card:

To complete the card, I then stamped a sentiment onto a strip of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and mounted that to the bottom of the card. Quick and easy and warm and cozy!

This photo shows the depth by adding foam strips underneath the cocoa mug.

This type of card would also make great holiday cards, if you’re still needing to make a few.
