Letterpress Cardstock Testing & Results
Hello, friends! Are you as big a fan of texture on your papercrafting projects as I am? Toni here with you today sharing the results of my experiments with letterpressing using cardstocks from CutCardStock.

Used for letterpressing
I tried a few varieties, including the Savoy 100% Cotton Brilliant White 236# Double Thick Letter Press cardstock used on my poinsettia card. When they say double thick, they aren’t kidding. Wow!
The results were stunning. The impression of the plate is so amazingly textured. In addition, note how well (and quickly) I was able to color the panel up using layered stencils and Catherine Pooler inks.

I added a sentiment embossed in copper on Curious Translucent Clear cardstock to not detract from the design. Finally, I adhered the front to a Blank Cougar White A2 Folded Discount Card Stock 110lb base.

Used for watercoloring
Now onto my next experiment: how would it handle watercolor crystals? The answer is like a champ! I scattered various colors of Brushos on the card panel then spritzed with water and watched the magic happen.
Again, I didn’t want to detract from those fabulous colors so I added a leafy diecut panel. This is topped off with a sentiment cut and embossed on a leaf made of Stardream Metallic Gold Paper.

With this view, you can see the thickness of the Savoy 100% Cotton Brilliant White 236# Double Thick Letter Press cardstock. I created an easel using scrap 100# cardstock, allowing the panel to serve as an autumn decoration.

Another type of letterpress cardstock
I tried another type, Savoy 118# Letterpress cardstock, to see how it compared to the letterpress cardstock included with my platform. This cardstock is fantastic; just look at how well the plate impressed! Even better, it’s very affordable.

To complete the card, I added another letterpressed panel which included Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock snow and critters cut from Bright Foil Gold cardstock.
The bottom versions include Pop Tone Wild Cherry cardstock birds and Environment Desert Storm cardstock sentiment strips.

So many beautiful cards to love here Toni! The texture on the first card is amazing. I can’t get over how thick and lush that double thick cotton cardstock is. It’s wonderful to see how well it works with magic powders too. The deer cards are just too adorable as well. You did a great representation of the wonderful quality cardstocks today.
