Happy Halloween Banner

Hey crafty friends! It’s Tiffani from A Krafting Alley, and today I’m sharing a fun (and a little spooky) project — a handmade Happy Halloween Banner that I designed and made using one of my own SVG files.

This banner was such a fun project to make and would be great for decorating your home, craft room, or even for a Halloween party. It’s simple to put together, and the colors really bring out that spooky Halloween vibe!

Supplies I Used

Here’s what I used to make my banner:

Making the Banner

Once I had everything cut out with my electronic cutting machine, I sorted the pieces by type — the haunted houses, ghosts, and pennants — so they were ready to assemble.

Haunted Houses

I started by adding foam tape to the back of the black haunted house pieces and then attaching them to the yellow background pieces. That little bit of dimension really helps them stand out.

Ghosts

Next, I worked on the ghosts. I added foam squares to the back of the white ghost shapes and attached them to their black shadow pieces. The pop of contrast between the two layers gives them a nice look.

Pennants and Letters

For the pennants, I used foam tape again to attach the black layers onto the purple backgrounds. Once those were ready, I glued the letters on top using liquid glue. I love how the bright white letters look against the purple and black!

Putting It All Together

To assemble the banner, I used black and white twine.

  • For the “Happy” section, I started by threading a ghost, then the letters (spelling HAPPY backward), and then added another ghost at the other end.
  • For the “Halloween” section, I started with a haunted house, then the letters (spelling HALLOWEEN backward), and finished with another haunted house.

Finished Banner

And that’s it! A cute, slightly spooky Happy Halloween Banner that’s perfect for the season. I love the layered look and the little bit of dimension from the foam tape — it really brings everything to life.

This was such a fun project to make, and I hope it inspires you to start crafting something Halloween-themed, too. If you make this banner, I’d love to see it — tag me @AKraftingAlley so I can check out your version!

Happy crafting,
Tiffani 🎃
