Just keep swimming…
Hello friends! Melissa here with a fun card that is so super simple to put together. I cannot wait to share it with you! So let’s get started!
Pull your supplies together:
- DCS Pearlized Splash Blue
- Neenah Classic Crest Solar White
- Mermaid/Aquatic images – I used digital cut aparts
- Postage die from Waffle Flower
- Mermaid stamp set from Simon Says Stamp

Let’s get crafty!
Let’s start by die cutting the postage die from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White card stock. I used Shabby Shutters and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks to color the base with blender brushes. You could also add a bit more texture by placing a stencil over the inked panel and lifting some of the color using a baby wipe or damp paper towel.

Next, we’re going to fussy cut the digital images and decide which image will fit each size section of the postage base. Additionally, stamp some aquatic friends and plant life. When you’re happy with the base adhere the images to the sections of the postage base.

This is shaping up nicely!
We’re going to color the little images. It probably should have been done before I glued down the digital images, but I hadn’t because I wasn’t sure if I was going to leave them as is. In the end, I colored them using Alcohol Markers.

Here all my images are placed and I stamped sentiment over one of the images. I think it’s pretty cute! Don’t you?
Now you choose your base – I used Splash! It couldn’t have been more perfect. But green or a sand color would look so fabulous, too. Or even something iridescent.

Cut is down to an A2 sized base and put it all together…

I do hope this card inspired you to create something fun and whimsical for the mermaid in your life! Thank you for stopping by and I’d love a kind word or two. Happy crafting!
