Adorable Halloween Scene Card
Hello Friends! It feels like fall and Halloween are on everyone’s mind! I know I have been feeling like I want to do all of the fall things. We have a date with our granddaughter to go apple picking next week and I even went and bought my mums for my front containers. With me being in full fall frenzy, I created this adorable Halloween Scene card.
Today’s card is all about the cute and sweet dies that are out there for Halloween. I focused on creating the spooky but colorful background and then added the die cut elements. Very happy with how this came out.

Getting Started
First, I cut an A2 card panel from Cougar White cardstock. I had a circle mask from a previous project so I used it on this project. All inks used for the panel were Catherine Pooler inks. Next, I started inking up my background. I used Chiffon ink first. This ink stayed around the moon area. Next, I added the Tiki Torch ink layer, Be Mine for the pink layer and Glam for the purple layer. The inks were applied in an arc around the moon mask.

Once I had all of the ink layers created, I went over the entire project with Black Jack ink. It’s a medium gray. The colors still shine through but they are muted. I made sure I added some wispy, gray marks to make the background less sweet and a little more spooky. The background can be messy, this isn’t a Sympathy or Mother’s Day card, streaks are part of the design!

Next Steps
Now that I finished my background, I turned to my die cuts. The tree was cut out of Hot Fudge cardstock and had BlackJack ink blended over it. The haunted house was cut from Glama Kraft cardstock and blended with S’mores ink. Next, I colored the vampire cardstock (Cougar White) using gray inks. I used Pebble ink for the lighter gray candy corn stripe and Hoodie ink for the darker gray candy corn stripe. To finish the vampire, I adhered his cape, hair, face and bow tie. The cape is out of Eclipse cardstock with Wild Cherry touches.
For next steps, I assembled Frankenstein. The cardstocks used were Hydrangea Purple, Grape Jelly and Plum. I love these three colors together! His neck bolts are Cougar White colored with a C4 Copic marker. His hair cracks me up! It looks like a toupee and I am totally here for that!

Finishing the Card
The rest of the card was a breeze. First, I adhered the tree and the haunted house to my card panel. This created a little bit of spook in the scene card. Then, to add a little bit of detail I added some grass behind Frankenstein. Next, I added the candy corn figures and the bats. Finally, I added Hero Arts Star Sequins and my card panel was complete.
Thank you so much for joining me while I created this adorable Halloween scene card!
Take Care,
Patty
