Floral Friendship Card

Hey everybody, Happy Valentine’s Day! Do you have someone special that you’re spending the day with?! Leslie here with you today, sharing a gorgeous floral friendship card. It’s not a Valentine, although it certainly could be made into one. It’s a super easy 5-1/4″ square card that uses just three kinds of cardstock. I used Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White, 80# Solar White, and our Beetle Black Canvas Textured cardstock.

Cut Card Base & Layers

To start, cut a 5-1/4″ square side-folding card base from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White cardstock.

Next, cut layering panels for the front and inside from Neenah Classic Crest 80# Solar White cardstock.

Lastly, cut front and inside layering panels from Beetle Black Canvas Textured cardstock.

Create Focal Image For Floral Friendship Card

Using a large floral stamp of your choice, stamp the image in black ink. Color it with alcohol markers and trim it.

Dry Emboss Interlaced Outline

Using an interlaced outline die, dry emboss an outline on the front flap of the card base and the inside panel.

Adhere Layers

Glue the focal image to the black layering panel.

Also adhere the inside panel to the corresponding black layering panel.

Add Stamping

Stamp the front and inside sentiments in black ink on a Solar White cardstock scrap.

Following this, cut both sentiments with the coordinating dies.

Pop the front sentiment up on adhesive foam squares, and adhere the inside sentiment flat to the panel.

Complete Floral Friendship Card

To complete the card, adhere the focal panel to the front of the card base with adhesive foam strips.

Finally, adhere the inside panel to the inside of the card base.
