Celebrate Valentine’s Day with CutCardStock

Love is in the air! Mary here and I am excited to share this sweet Valentine’s card, perfect for sharing the love. Using beautiful card stock from CutCardStock, combined with dies and embossing tools are the key to create this pretty Valentine.

Supplies Used:

~Pearlized Strawberry Cream, Amaranth and Cougar White card stocks

~Valentine Word Trio die set from Newton’s Nook Designs

~Frames Squared dies from Newton’s Nook Designs

~Dotted Hearts Embossing Folder and Cutting die from Simon Says Stamp

Steps to Create:

1. Start by cutting a piece of Cougar card stock to 9″ x 4 1/2″. Score the 9″ side at 4 1/2″ and fold. This will give you a 4 1/2″ square card base.
2. Die cut the pink layer by using the scalloped square die and adhere it to the center of the white card base.
3. Using the stitched square die, cut a white panel and adhere it on top of the pink panel.
4. Die cut the sentiment from both pink card stocks.Next, adhere the bright pink rectangle to the center of the white square. Additionally, carefully inlay the “XOXO” using the light pink die cut pieces.
5. With the heart dies from the Dotted Hearts set, cut 3 hearts from each of the pink card stocks. Open the embossing folder and lay the hearts face down on the debossed patterned hearts (see photo). Carefully close the folder and run it through your die cutting machine. How cute are those little hearts.

6. Lastly, arrange the hearts and adhere them to the white panel. If you like, you could add foam squares to the back of the hearts to add dimension.

The rich card stock colors and lovely embossed details create the perfect Valentine. Whether you’re making it for a sweetheart, friend or family member, it is sure to warm their heart.
