Making Spirits Bright Card

There’s something magical about holiday cards that capture the warmth of the season. Mary here, and this card does just that with its cheerful design and bold colors.

I chose the following shades of card stock: Moss Green, Granny Smith, Scottish Highlands Green, Cherry Red, Taupe and Cougar White 110#. Lessebo card stock is currently on sale 10% off.

The dies used were the Sunburst Frame from Concord an 9th, Gingerbread Man embossing folder and cutting die from Simon Says Stamp, and Holiday Foliage and Making Spirits Bright from Pink Fresh Studios.

I started by die cutting the background out of the Cherry card stock. Next, the gingerbread boy was cut from Taupe card stock and then I lightly inked up the details on him with a white pigment ink pad. The foliage was then cut from three shades of green card stock to add depth.

I stamped and die cut the sentiment from Cougar White 110# card stock using Momento Tuxedo Black ink. This sentiment adds a cheerful note to the card, perfect for the holiday season!

Next, I arranged and adhered all of the pieces onto the Cherry background using liquid glue. The greenery frames the gingerbread man nicely, giving a lovely layered look. Then, the sentiment was added. Finally, I finished the card by adding it to an A2 card base.
