Bright Birthday

It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a couple cards that use some bright colors which I associate with being happy. Birthdays are happy so therefore when I make birthday cards I mostly use bright colors. Birthdays also mean bright colors.

The first card was a little time consuming to make because it uses an inlay die. If you have ever used an inlay die set before, they are fun… or to me they are. They are also relaxing, it’s kinda like putting a puzzle together.

The first step is cut out all the colors with the Party Inlay Die. I used the following colors Neenah Solar White, Lessebo Bubblegum, DCS Orange Zest, Lessebo Sunflower, DSC Granny Smith, DCS Carribean Blue, and Lessebo Amethyst.

The second step is to use the panel of Neenah Solar White and piece the die cut pieces back in the negative spaces. There is a lot of pieces because of using a rainbow of colors. If you chose to make this card using just one color you would not have so many pieces. Here’s a photo of all the pieces I have.

That’s a lot, huh?! However, I will be able to make lots of cards with them in the future. After putting the pieces in the negative spaces, the next step was to die cut the large HB from Neenah Solar White and Carribean Blue. I used a rainbow of ink colors to ink blend the HB that was cut from Neenah Solar White. When gluing them down I offset the letters a little so it would bring in the colors of the hats. I made a second card using the same bright colors, this one uses a stencil pack and dies.

To make this card, I used a Neenah Solar White card base, a Lessbo Bubblegum panel for the mat and a Neenah Solar White panel for the focal panel. I used a stencil pack to create a bright background and a coordinating stamp set for the sentiment. I have listed the supplies below.
