Metallic Cardstock – Hot Foiling & Embossing
Hello! This time of year is the perfect time to send some sunny encouragement cards – and what better way to add the perfect touch to those cards than using Metallic cardstock?! Jessica here, and I LOVE metallic cardstock!

I started off with a piece of the Stardream Metallic LAGOON cardstock for my card panel. I used a wave embossing folder to add texture for this background panel.

The next thing is to hot foil! Hot foiling looks amazing on the Stardream Metallic cardstock! For the sentiments, I used a piece of the Stardream Metallic Sapphire with a satin pewter foil. Make sure you put the pretty side of the foil facing the foil plate and not the cardstock, or you will foil onto your foil plate! It doesn’t hurt your plate, it will still work.

Look how cool! I love hot foiling onto Metallic cardstock. This foil plate has a coordinating die that cuts out all of the sentiments at once.

I used the Classic Linen Gold Pearl for the sand layers on my scene card. To help give it a little texture, I stippled some brown ink onto the gold cardstock.

Next, I used several different colors of metallic cardstock to die cut pieces to make a beach chair scene. The colors I used are Stardream: Pluto for the clouds, Venus for the chair, Kunzite and Punch for the fabric on the chair, and Gold for the sun.

And here is our finished card! I used a combination of liquid glue and foam tape to give some dimension. I’d love to see your sunny summery cards! Tag me @purple_puppy_papercrafting
