Shimmery Embossing with Ink Blending
Hi everyone, Jessica here with you today. I love making cards with the Stardream Metallic cardstocks – especially with ink blending and embossing! These flowers really stand out and look great on the metallic shimmery background!

I started with an A2 sized piece of the Stardream Metallic Opal cardstock. I added some splatters with a copper liquid watercolor and a super sparkly champagne color.

This cardstock does take a little bit longer for liquid mediums to dry on it, so I used a heat tool to help speed it up a bit.

Look at all that shiny sparkly goodness!

The next step is embossing! I lined up the panel in the embossing folder with where I wanted the flower and then put it through my die cutting machine. Be sure to check your machine’s sandwich suggestions for 3D embossing folders to get the right tension.

Look at how pretty that is! You could even leave it like this for an elegant monochromatic card. But I had to add color!

This embossing folder has coordinating stencils so I picked some inks out for the flowers and leaves. There are different flowers on the same stencil so I used sticky paper to mask off between where I wanted different colors.

Ahhh I love how this turned out! The embossing is so stunning on the metallic cardstock. I added some bling and added it one of the precut and prescored 110# card bases – I LOVE THESE card bases. They are so convenient and such good quality.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
