Organize your cards with DIY dividers
I keep a good stash of greeting cards around that I make available to use for family and friends. This means I need to sort them and keep them organized, so why not make it look nice? Hi, it’s Maureen and I’ll show you how to use CutCardStock papers to get organized!

I like decorating my craft room, and since this box sits on my desk in my studio, I wanted it to match the decorations. I primarily have a black-and-white scheme with a hint of red. So I decided to make my own dividers, and incorporate the floral theme too.

I started with 8 1/2” x 11“ pieces of Pop Tone Black Licorice paper. I’ve cut tabs at the top of each of these with a planner making tool by We R Makers.

Next, I’ve die cut letters in Classic Crest Solar White paper. Before I cut the letters, I stamped several groups of flowers on the paper so it would have a pattern.

I lined up the letters to be glued on the Pop Tone Black Licorice dividers and used washi tape to keep them straight. This allows me to maintain alignment.

Using the same Classic Crest Solar White, I cut a strip of paper at 5 1/2“ x 3“ and stamped it with the same floral patterns. I glued this onto the back of the divider.

I glued the sides and bottom only, as I intend to use this as a pocket. This also gives the divider a sturdy base.

Line up your cards by theme and store them in a decorative box! Plastic bins are also a good option.
With the pocket on the back, you can store coordinating tags or envelopes for your cards. I like the Cougar White envelopes. Now these will be ready when you need them. Fun and functional!

When you’re ready to use your cards, don’t forget about envelopes! CutCardStock has a wide variety of them and they are on sale this month. So be sure to check it out on the site – see you next time!
