Patriotic Hello – Die cut Inlay

It is always fun to send a hello card that is seasonally themed. Hi, this is Jessica. Today, I am sharing a patriotic hello card I made using some Stardream Metallic cardstock and glitter cardstock.

I used this fun background die along with Stardream Metallic Jupiter, Sapphire and White Glitter cardstock.

After I cut the pieces, I laid them out with the pieces still inside the background piece so I could keep track of where everything goes.

My plan was to make a red, white and blue card. So to start, I used the outline piece of the die cuts from the Jupiter cardstock. Next, I applied liquid glue to the back and adhered it to a 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ piece of white cardstock.

Similarly, I adhered all of pieces inside the outline piece with liquid glue, alternating white glitter and Sapphire cardstocks for the inlay pieces.

I wanted a dimensional die cut sentiment in Red Glitter cardstock but with these delicate lines, it would be difficult to cut foam tape small enough. Instead of using foam tape, I cut two more of the “hello” die cuts from the Jupiter to use beneath the glitter “hello”. These were all adhered together with liquid glue putting the glitter “hello” on top.

I cut some stars from the Jupiter, Sapphire and white glitter cardstocks. A few little white stars from my stash finished off this fun patriotic card.

I’d love to see some of your seasonally themed Hello cards! Tag me @ purple_puppy_papercrafting
