So Grateful for You Card
Hello and welcome back. Today I am sharing an almost monochromatic card.

A monochromatic color scheme is a color palette that uses one color in various shades, tones, and tints. Monochromatic color schemes can be easy to use. Working with one segment of the color wheel creates a cohesive and harmonious effect. Do you refer to a color wheel when creating cards? I do! My card features mostly shades of green. Green is my favorite color and it is a color that can work for feminine and masculine cards.
Step 1: Die Cutting
To create my card, I used a stamp die set from Concord and 9th called “Everything About You”. This is a very versatile set! I started by die cutting the first layer from Granny Smith 80# cover. Next, I die cut the second layer from Galax 80# cover. Additionally, I cut the third (bottom) layer from Granny Smith. I added Ranger Rustic Wilderness distress ink for a bit of a deeper tone.
I die cut the tiny flowers from Rubber Ducky 80# cover to add a tiny bit of color.
Step 2: Stamping
As you can see, this card only required a small amount of stamping. I stamped the sentiment with Concord and 9th’s Evergreen ink.

Step 3: Adhering
To begin layering, I adhered the third layer to the second layer. These are easy to line up, as the word “you” is cut from each layer. Next, I adhered those two layers to the underside of the first, or top layer. Finally, I added the three tiny flowers. I like to use liquid glue with intricate die cuts because it gives me a little wiggle room and time to make sure everything is line up properly. I used Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose glue for all of my glueing.
To finish the card, I cut a piece of Indigo 80# cover to 8.5″ x 5.5″. I scored it at 4.25″ and folded it to create the card base. I love this blue for the card base! It has a subtle linen texture that is really pretty. I adhered my layered die cuts with foam tape to add a little more dimension.

Do you ever create monochromatic cards? I hope you learned a little something and were inspired, too.
See you again soon!
