Cards with a kick!
When I spotted this witch boot die cut in my stash this month, I knew it was the perfect excuse to create a card with a little kick! Hi I’m Maureen (A Little Mo Crafty) and I’m going to help you kickstart Halloween week with this fun card idea using CutCardStock paper. Here’s how wickedly easy it is to make!

First, start with a 4.25“ x 5.5“ cut of Lessebo Pitch Black paper. From there, cut a second sheet of the black paper at 4“ x 5.25“. Once that’s done, score the card down the middle.

Following that, run the smaller sheet of paper through an embossing folder. I used one with cloudy swirls for this project. Then, dust the very top edges with distress white ink.

In the next step, attach this panel to the card front you’ve made with adhesive foam. Then die cut several strips of zigzag paper in your favorite colors. For example, I used Pop Tone Grape Jelly, Canvas Textured Bonzai Green and Pop Tone Orange Fizz.

To continue, glue the zigzags to the bottom third of the top panel. Trim the edges with a fine scissors. Next, stamp a sentiment onto Classic Crest Solar White paper and cut it out with a scalloped edge die cut. Attach this to the lower left corner of the card.

Now it’s time to create the boot. This is a die cut that I currently own. Even better, you can find the same shape in an electronic cutting machine library or with free SVG’s on online. Cut this out in Lessebo Pitch Black. Cut the top piece in Pop Tone Orange Fizz.

Once that’s done, thread a small piece of black and white wine through the holes and it here to the boot. To show you what I mean, in this photo I used small pieces of cardstock scraps to hold the boot in place since it is a shaker outline, and foam to pop up the shoelaces. What’s more – this extra step adds lots of detail!

Now, take the boot and glue it to a 2 and a 1/2 inch circle cut in Pop Tone Grape Jelly. Adhere to the top right corner of the card.
As an option for darker cards, make sure to include a panel of Classic Crest Solar White on the inside to write on. Finally, your card is ready for giving!

Ultimately, whether you’re crafting something wickedly fun or just want to try a new technique, grab your favorite papers from CutCardStock and give your next project a little extra kick. In the end, would a bad witch make cards this fabulous?
