Ohhh, I love a great background stamp and this one was a fun one to use! Two different shades of purple ink and some gold splash were used to create this great background on Cougar Smooth White Cardstock. After the stamping and splashing, this stamped panel was trimmed down to 3.75×5″.

With gold splashes around the panel, of course the best way to accent this is with a Gold Glitter Paper mat. The mat was cut to 4×5.25″.
Now I’m going to be honest with you, I normally hate using glitter paper because of all the glitter mess that just never goes away – you know what I’m talking about. But this paper has no loose glitter so it cuts smooth whether you’re using your paper trimmer or a cutting machine. I just love it and look how fun and sparkly it is!

I used double sided tape to adhere the glitter paper to the Basis Dark Purple card base as well as the Cougar Smooth White cardstock panel on the inside but used a liquid adhesive to adhere the stamped panel to the glitter paper mat. To ensure strong adhesion for both types of adhesive, I used my bone folder to burnish the panels and then placed a large acrylic block to hold it down for a short while.

Two skeleton leaves and a gold ribbon bow complete the card.

Creating this card took a couple of different directions as I wanted to use a white card base originally, but I’m so glad I changed it to the Basis Dark Purple. The embellishments are minimal but pack a pretty punch for this stamped card.
