American Girl Layout
Hey there, y’all! Misty (@mommyofkidz) with you today to share a 4th of July layout – just a little bit late! I wanted to scrap my adorable niece in her all-festive cuteness, so that’s exactly what I did! For this American Girl Layout, I went back to the basics in almost every way.
I wanted to make this one easy, but I also wanted it to “Pack a Punch”.
Red, White, and Blue were obviously going to be my primary colors, so I pulled a few of my favorites from my stash. Lucky for me – and for y’all – These colors are on sale this month in the CutCardStock Store!

Gathering It All
To begin, I gathered the cardstock that I knew I would want to use:
DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White
DCS Pearlized Textured Jet Stream Blue
DCS Wild Blueberry navy Cardstock
DCS Red Pepper Cardstock
Silk Glitter Silver Mist Cardstock
After gathering my cardstock, I used the DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White and my Cricut machine to cut the sectioned star SVG. With another sheet of White, I used a handy dandy manual punch from “Back in the Day” to make some border strips.

EASY~PEASY
It was super easy to assemble this layout. Starting with the star that I cut out with my Cricut, I began backing the sections with an assortment of Cut Card Stock Paper and mixed in a very old Fancy Pants line that matched perfectly.
Next, I mounted the photo, grabbed an old piece of burlap, and I glued these in place. I used the Silk Glitter Silver Mist Cardstock to cut out the “Girl” in my title and tiny Thickers for the “American”. Finally, I used the DCS Canvas Textured Wedding Cake White to make some journaling strips to finish it all up.

Finishing Up:
Once it was all assembled, I took a look and thought it still needed something “more”. I decided that I wanted some black paint splats, bakers’ twine, and a single flower to add for visual interest…but again – these things were super easy and quick to add.
From start to finish, this American Girl layout took less than an hour to assemble. I know we all have tons of things going on in our everyday lives, so I like to remind you all that YOU CAN SCRAPBOOK.
You can preserve your precious memories, too, if you just set aside one hour.
One hour is all it takes to put together a beautiful album page that you can cherish for years to come. Where do you start? Well, at the Cut Card Stock Store, of course! Go gather some of their amazing products…it all starts with that first step!
I hope I have inspired you today. I also hope you all had a wonderful and festive 4th of July!
Thank you all for stopping by today!
