B&W Birthday Card With a Pop of Red!
Hey everybody! I hope you are having a great week so far! Leslie here, sharing a pretty birthday card created in black and white with just a pop of red, which is one of my all-time favorite color combos! This card features Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White (a staple in my studio) that I paired with our Pop Tone Black Licorice! The best part is the supply list for this clean and simple design is minimal and the card is easy to reproduce!

Cut Card Base and Layers
I cut a standard A2 size side-folding card base and two embellishing strips from Neenah Classic Crest 110# Solar White. Next, I cut small layering panels from Solar White and Pop Tone Black Licorice. I created an off-center frame in the white panel by die cutting a stitched rectangle using a die in my stash which I retained for later use. Finally, I die cut a second stitched rectangle from Solar White.

Create Elements
I hand-cut an aperture in the black layering panel and adhered it to the back side of the white panel. Next, I applied black Swiss Dot washi tape to the two embellishing strips.

Stamp Sentiments and Florals
I stamped the front sentiment on the card base in black ink. Similarly, I stamped the inside sentiment on one of the stitched rectangle die cuts in black ink. Then finally I stamped the florals in black ink and punched them with the coordinating punch.

Assemble Card and Complete Project
I adhered one washi tape strip horizontally to the card front along with the frame popped up on foam strips. Next, I adhered the punched florals to the remaining stitched rectangle die cut and adhered it inside the aperture. I added a small red bow and tiny red gemstones, which completed the card front. For the inside, I adhered the other washi tape strip and the stamped rectangle die cut.
