Home Shadow Box | Raechelle Bellus

Hello! Raechelle here sharing a pretty shadow box home decor project with you today.

I purchased some Lori Whitlock shadow box cut files awhile back and decided that I would give them a try, and I am already looking forward to creating more cute projects such as this!

I used three different shadowbox files to create this particular project. The different sized boxes make it fun to add elements and my biggest struggle was figuring out which way I wanted to orient it. 🙂

To cut the pieces, I used Natural Twine Kraft Card Stock from the CutCardStock store.

Once the shadowbox frame pieces were assembled, I found it easiest to build the bottom base by tracing the open areas on the back piece and adding patterned paper slightly overlapping the outlines. I added a few die cuts and stickers as well. Everything that would be “flat”.

Once I was satisfied with it, I then adhered the shadow box to the base piece.

I completed the box with some additional elements. The butterflies in the boxes were mounted using foam to add dimension.

I love how this turned out and am looking forward to creating more! The possibilities are endless!

Don’t forget to check out the CutCardStock store for all your Card Stock needs! There are so many beautiful colors to choose from and shipping is quick and packed with care.
