Do you use your Cricut for scrapbooking? It’s so easy to put together a layout when you have great color cardstock choices and a large cut file! CutCardStock and Cricut is a great team for a quick and easy layout. I used Black, Wedding Cake White, Blastoff Blue, Robin’s Egg, Orange Fizz and Lemon Drop for the layout.

After cutting the image and title, I arranged them on top of the lighter blue 12×12 cardstock base. (This pearlized Robin’s Egg cardstock is not available at this time.)

Each piece was adhered using liquid adhesive but any adhesive would work.

Once the pieces were all adhered, I switched the layout base to the Blastoff Blue cardstock. It definitely stands out better and was a much better contrast!

So far so good! Once the photo was added, it just needed something more. Shells that were cut from Natural cardstock and inked slightly were the perfect solution. I also dug through my stash for a piece of shell patterned paper and created photo mats and a fun base for the title to rest on. Since the colors are toned down & neutral, they coordinate instead of clash with the fabulous cut file. What do you think? Do you combine white with off-white?

This beach scene cut is perfect for this photo of my granddaughters. I love how the youngest is just hanging onto her older sister!

I hope this encourages you to play with different colored cardstock combinations and cut files in Design Space. There are so many possibilities!
