Good morning! Do you struggle with cards for men? Sharon here and I am going to show you an idea for a man that has a new home.

This card starts it’s life as a piece of Neenah Solar White 80lb Cardstock. Distress ink in Carved Pumpkin, Blueprint Sketch, Wilted Violet and Black ink were blended across the cardstock covering all the white.

For the image I diecut 2 Spellbinders Row Of Houses. One in Pop Tone Black Licorice and one in Lemon Drop.

The Black Licorice is the main image and the waste ‘windows’ from the Lemon Drop.

Using a wax tipped picker makes it easier to pick up the tiny pieces. This then helps place them where they need to go.
As I have I night sky with the ink, splattering Copic Opaque White Acrylic Paint across the gives the look of stars.

The card needs a sentiment and to keep with the masculine theme it needs to be bold. The word dies ‘New Home’ are perfect. Neenah Solar White is perfect for this. Then stacking them on top of each other makes them appear more prominent.

Building the card is simple. Classic Crest Epic Black 130lb is a perfect weight for the base card. Cutting a sheet in half then scoring gives 2 bases. One for later!

I had trimmed the topper slightly so it mats with a border on the base. My sentiment fits perfectly above the houses.
As I finish the card I realize I have a black smudge. Male themed cards don’t usually have lots of embellishments on them. So I use a White Belly Roll pen to add more stars to cover this.

Do you think this card is simple enough to give a guy moving home? Let me know in the comments.
