Floral Thinking of You Card

One of my favorite types of cards to make these days is the generic “thinking of you” card. I build up a stash of these cards with fairly simple designs when I have the time because they can be used for so many different occasions – everyday, sympathy, and even birthday cards work with this sentiment!

Start by trimming a piece of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″. Using an embossing folder with an oval diffuser in your die-cutting machine, add a pretty basketweave texture to the outer edge of the panel.

Stamp a big scripty greeting in the right side of the smooth oval in the center of the panel using a crisp black ink.

Lightly add blue ink around the edges of the panel with an ink blending brush to bring out the texture.

Stamp layered floral images onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock and cut them out with scissors or the coordinating dies.

To create the thin frame, choose two oval dies that are the same shape but slightly different sizes and die cut Silver Bright Foil Cardstock. (You may need to do this in two steps if the dies are very close together in size.)

Adhere the embossed panel to the front of a top-folding A2-sized white cardbase with tape runner, then add the oval frame in the center with foam strips (they are the perfect width for thin frames like this!).

Arranged the stamped floral images on the left side of the frame and adhere down with foam adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed this simple and pretty floral card and thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to visit the CutCardStock store to purchase any of the supplies showcased today and if you liked this project please leave a comment below!
