Simple Color Block with Basis Cardstock

Hi! It’s Jill from Jill Cameron Creations with a quick color block card. This kind of card is so simple and is perfect for any occasion.

I used Light Blue, Medium Blue, Blue, and Navy Basis Cardstock. I started with a 4.25″ x 5.5″ panels of each color. I cut 1.75″ strips and the trimmed .25″ off of each end of the strip.

I used some washi tape to hold each of the three pieces of cardstock together. This made it easier to center it and clue it flat down to a white cardstock panel.

Finally, I die cut a simple sentiment from Navy cardstock and Pearl White cardstock. As a finishing touch I added some pearl drops to the center of each flower.

I hope this card gives you some ideas for easy color block cards for any occasion. Don’t forget to drop by the shop and get some Basis cardstocks.

Next, I popped he panel in a stamping platform and stamped a large floral outline in Versamark ink. I used white embossing powder to heat emboss the image.
