Stamping on Colored Cardstock
Hello CutCardStock Friends! Birgit here with you this morning, to share a card I made to show you that colored cardstock isn’t just for die cutting. Colored cardstock takes on a whole new look when stamped on as well. Let’s jump in and I’ll show you my card.

The Supplies:

As you can see in the photo above, I used 80# DCS Light Teal cardstock as well as 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Additional supplies are from Stampin’ Up and Altenew, from my stash.
Preparing the Background:

To begin with, I pulled out some ink colors that I thought would compliment the DCS Light Teal cardstock. I then chose three stamp images from the stamp set, assigning a color to each stamp and then randomly stamped the background. I love how the colors have a cohesive look but pop off the background color.

Using those same colors, I stenciled a plaid design using a plaid building stencil set onto another piece of Light Teal cardstock, to create another background element for my card.

To create the panel for the focal point, I cut the plaid panel down using my paper trimmer and tore the top edge. I also cut a slightly larger panel from Neenah CC Solar White and tore the top of that, and then mounted the Light Teal panel to the top of the Solar White panel. This gives me a spot to act as the focal point.
Stamping the Focal Points:

To create the focal point cluster, I stamped each of the three images onto 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I also cut a separate leafy image out of the CC Solar White, not pictured above.

Here is a photo of the rough layout of the focal point. Once I came up with a design I was pleased with, I glued the white leafy sprig onto the focal panel using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue and popped the other three leafy pieces on using Double Sided Foam Adhesive Circles.
Finishing the Card:

Once I attached the focal panel to the card front, I stamped and cut the sentiment block and attached that to the card front, finishing it off with a twine bow.
The Finished Project:

As you can see in the photo above, I also stamped the leafy images onto a Leader Opaque White Envelope, to coordinate with the card. I think It turned out lovely!
