Elegant Mother’s Day Hat & Box

Hello everyone! It’s Janet and I’m so excited to share this lovely easel hat card and matching box with you today! This is especially pretty using the beautiful Opulent Opal Silk Glitter Cardstock from CutCardstock. I love the crisp clean look of white with a pop of color. The soft red and silver accents make this one special.

The pattern used for this project can be found at the Silhouette Design Store. It’s Pattern 314158 designed by SnapDragon Snippits. If you don’t have a Silhouette machine, you can purchase the pattern as an .svg so it can be used on almost any electronic cutter. I’ve included a construction video to help you make your own version of this project.

In addition to the card pattern, there is a matching box pattern. It precisely fits the dimensional card and makes a perfect presentation as a gift.

The easel card makes quite a statement when it’s opened. It will be something any Mom would be proud to display but especially when it’s been handmade just for her!

I kept the decorating simple with silver metallic accents using CutCardStock’s Silver Foil Cardstock. A ribbon and matching bow on both the box and the hat pull it all together. You could decorate this more elaborately if you wanted with paper flowers, berries, pearls and bits of lace. I like things clean and simple and the ribbons and silver give it a fresh uncomplicated look.
