Does your sister have an awesome sister? I saw this quote and knew it would be perfect for a photo I have of my two granddaughters from Valentine’s Day last year.

I wanted to add some sparkly fun to this layout so I cut an overlay with Silver Glitter Cardstock. It’s so easy to cut using a Cricut. I select Glitter Paper for material and change the default pressure to more. Look how great it cut!

Pretty cool start to my layout, right? Then I cut the quote using Black Cardstock and placed them in the open circles.

I didn’t adhere them yet since I wasn’t sure of the placement, but I also felt like it needed something else. So I created a base for the overlay using the offset feature in Design Space. I chose a solid cardstock since I had already used two patterned papers for the base (see how I changed the base patterned paper from the floral to hearts?). The Wedding Cake Textured cardstock worked perfect for this & now it really pops.

Yes! This was a move in the right direction. Now to mat the photo, add additional embellishments and complete the page. Here’s the final look and some close ups!

Definitely made the right choice by using heart patterned paper for the base.
See the “ghost” stamping in the corner?

Note: The silver glitter hearts came from the cut out and I used scraps from the patterned paper, silver glitter & white cardstock for the banners & tab. Stamped a heart/arrow image with Versamark ink to give a tone on tone effect and added some black splatter to complete the layout!
