XOXO Shaker and Card
Hello! Raechelle here sharing this bright and fun card and shaker heart set that I created for one of my sweet granddaughters.

To create the card; trim and fold Astrobright Pulsar Pink cardstock to desired card size (mine is 5.5×4.5). Trim a smaller sheet of Classic Crest Bright White Cardstock a bit smaller to place on card base. Using this white cardstock, place onto cutting mat and arrange cutfiles (I used a freebie from Paper Issues) how you would like them to appear for this layer o the card base. When cutting is complete, remove white cut files to leave negative spaces. Use a small scrap of Astrobright Re-Entry Red cardstock to back hearts and then adhere white piece to pink cardstock base. Clear the hearts from design and cut the words on Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock, without resizing. Add scraps of Re-Entry Red to hearts and then adhere to white cardstock ensuring the black words are inset neatly. A note: I saved the tiny spaces of white cardstock between the “x’s” and “o’s” to add back once words were adhered for a more finished look. The same with the tiny part from the “e”.

To complete the card I added some pink paint spray, sequins, and a twine bow, along with a leftover cutfile from the shaker, which I backed with the Re-Entry Red and adhered.
To create the shaker card, I cut two of the hearts from the Astrobright Pulsar Pink, and one from the Astrobright Re-Entry Red cardstocks (file from printyourowntee).
I then trimmed the scalloped edges off one of the pink hearts and then adhered some CTI Glama Translucent Paper around the bottom and up along the sides. Once dry, I cut around vellum, then adhered to the red scalloped heart base. Next I poked holes around the edges using a punch and hammer.

Using Pop Tone Black Licorice cardstock and the same cutfile from the card, I cut some designs and added a few pieces to the inside of the shaker and filled with sequins. Then I glued the vellum to the top areas of the heart that was left open to fill. When dry, I stitched around heart with some floss.
I completed the shaker by completing the xoxo cutfile and adhering it to the side. A twine bow with a sequin completes the front. Finally adhere the entire project onto the additional Pulsar Pink scalloped heart and offset a bit to add some visual interest. This will hide the stitching on the back of the shaker.

I can’t wait to send this sweet set to my granddaughter. She is enamored with all things pink and I know that she’s going to love these.
