All Boy!

I love mixing bright primary colors and using general non traditional embellishments. For this page, I pulled out the colors from the photo, colored some wood veneers, and used a design idea from a friend. This came together very quickly, and turned out adorable.

I started off with a sheet of Bonsai Cardstock as my background. Using 2 sheets of Patterned paper, I created these triangles/arrows on either side. If you wanted, you could add a third, smaller on the top or bottom… or rotate the design. This particular design can be used in many different ways.

For my photo, I decided to use Habenaro Red and the Bonsai Green Cardstock to layer behind my photo.

I didn’t pull out as many embellishments as I normally do, I tried to keep this layout simple, and have the focus on the photo. I’m sorry I have the photo itself covered. The little guy in it, is my best friends baby, whom is only 5 months old, and out of respect for her, I covered his sweet little face.

I laid everything out getting a feel for how I wanted everything. I used some flair from ScrappinHappy Studio, also their new cardstock phrases. Some wood veneer words, arrows, and stars and a cutfile from Redefined Kreative. Using foam strips I popped up a few pieces and added some dimension.

Using Nuvo Adhesive, I adhered the wood veneer and the acrylic stars. For the flair I used Score-Tape .. you don’t want to use a liquid adhesive on them. I pulled out a few colors of Nuvo Glitter Markers, and colored the wood veneer pieces. I really like how they turned out.
Last but not least by any means, I added one of my favorite embellishments. Nuvo Drops!
I hope you found a little inspiration from this layout, and would love to see how you use this design.
Happy Crafting!
