Monochromatic Thank You Card

Hello, y’all! It’s Laura here from Soul Shine Designs. Today I got a clean and simple thank you card. I have recently purchased alphabet dies and I knew this was the perfect time to break them in.

For this card, you will need minimal supplies. Here is what I used for this card.

I used the big capital alphabet dies to cut out the word thank and the small dies for the word you from Royal Sundance cardstock and Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock. I adhered the white letters slightly offset on the blue letters to the right to create a drop shadow.

After I had all the letters glued together I started on the panels. I cut two panels from the Royal Sundance cardstock at 4.25″ x 5.5″ and 3 3/4″ x 5″. I used a diagonal stripe embossing folder to give this monochromatic card more depth and texture.

I added foam tape to the smaller panel and adhered it to the bigger panel. The smaller panel I chose to have the debossed side facing up and on the bigger panel have the embossed side facing up.

I arranged the letters onto the smaller panel and used Press n Seal to keep them together. I used liquid glue to adhere them down. Then I put this card under something heavy and flat to make sure that the letters adhered to the embossed panel.

The texture of the Royal Sundance cardstock and the embossing folder gives this simple monochromatic card more interest. Using the Stardream Metallic Lagoon cardstock as the drop shadow as a pop of color and helps the white letters stand out.
